POV: a substitute teacher who has another job outside of education…
How can ONE person (and don’t even get me started about the dedicated EAs who support way more needs than you could even imagine) --
How can ONE teacher person be everything that 16-32 school-aged children in a classroom need each day?!
Short answer: they can’t be.
I can’t even begin to accurately list all the on-the-fly problem-solving that had to be done, and all the simultaneous fires that need to be put out EVERY minute of the day in a classroom.
There was also a lot of hugs, fun & art as needed… and stickers! And, one kid found a six leaf clover! I didn’t even know that was a thing!
