I STRIVE:
To Make a Difference -
to educate, to instruct, to show the way,
to pass on knowledge, to communicate, to help,
to guide, to engage, to collaborate, to care,
to love, to nurture, to reflect, to learn
                                           - To TEACH !!!!
 To build positive relationships,
to make difficult concepts seem easy,
to make students feel like geniuses,
to be creative and innovative,
to continuously learn and improve,
to be flexible...
… with passion, enthusiasm and compassion.

Philosophy in a Poem:
More Than One Smart

There's stuff that you're good at
and stuff that you're not.

What's that you say?
What's that I hear?
Is it really true?
Is it what I fear?

"I stink at math."
"Well, I can't carry a tune."
"Gym?  I'd rather a bath!"
"In language my words are all in ruin."

When you say what you say
when you say, "I'm not smart,
"I tell you, my student,
you're at the wrong start.

Math, music, gym, language, art,
it doesn't matter;
There's more than one smart.

Do something old.
Try something new.
I bet if you tried
There is nothing you can't do.

It goes without saying
(Although I will say it)
You're the cream of the crop,
the best of the best,
You'll rise to the top!
                                  Cont. >>>>>>>>
Dream your dreams big.
Don't settle, keep going.
Follow your heart;
It knows what it's doing.

Aim for the brightest star
an you'll get oh, so far.
Yes, I'm sure of it.
You'll be a big hit.

For, I taught yolu some things
that you need to know,
like spelling and adding,
science and the origin of snow.

You know about the world
and of history and fractions,
about phonics and songs
and strange and wonderful contraptions.

If there's a problem to solve,
you'll be well prepared
to seek out the answers
until the right one you've snared.

I've helped you to grow,
to be creative, confident, and kind;
to believe in yourself
and the life you'll find.

Just remember my message,
coming right from my heart:
Don't you ever EVER forget,
There's more than one smart!
