Wearing a TuTu is Empowering. I was instantly transformed into the most beautiful ballerina ever... and I just couldn't stop twirling!...  I'm preparing for the HWDSB LTO list interview and so I am sorting through all of the handy resources I have collected throughout the 13 years since I have graduated from Teacher's College.... this whole process has caused a whole lot of reflection, so much so, that it has found its way into a poem:
A Reflection Poem Note-to-self: remember when the world was new. It's a wonderful thing when you can see the change in those keen eyes staring at you from the hard green plastic chairs... The surprise of the voices - the messages - slamming into brains. Power & passion My recurring Epiphany - which occurs Every couple of months; I re-realize that The kids ARE learning and excited And excited ABOUT learning And learning is EXCITING because it is easy enough to forget That we didn't always know I'm making myself an E-Folio! That means I am transferring old content from a Semi-professional Blog I was using, as well as uploading current content. Please bar with me:) 
A Fun Warm-Up Game for Gym Class found on the Internet…. If somebody knows where this originated, please post below… I simply saved the screen capture for future use… and now, I will use it when I am next a Gym Teacher!

I gotta say, what’s very, VERY BAD for education in general, is very lucrative for supply teachers! – 87 unfilled elementary jobs in HWDSB on Friday… If nobody wants to come teach at your school, maybe you need to do something differently…
I feel bad for Liette and Steve… no wonder they are no longer involved; I’d run too:) (I have no idea the story there, but, “Thank you for what you do, you two!” No phone support for the vital service that hooks schools up with their support staff… Schools that are not getting these positions filled are probably noticing how vital we, the occasional teachers, really are in the smooth running of schools (a little tootin’ of thy own horn, every now and again, is healthy! – Do it!)
